The Daniel Fast: Its Origin
The Daniel Fast is based on verses from the Bible found in Daniel 10:2-3. “At that time I, Daniel, mourned for three weeks. I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over.” These three weeks refer to the observance of Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which take place during the first month of the year (Exodus 12:1-20).
The Daniel Fast: Its Purpose
While the Daniel Fast is cleansing your body by omitting certain foods for a limited time, the deeper and true basis of intent is for spiritual connection. The purpose of Christian fasting is to seek a more intimate relationship with God while ridding your physical body of unnatural, self-gratifying food and drink. Your focus is to be on God, not on the fleshly things of the world. Too often, the focus of fasting is on the lack of food. Instead, the purpose of fasting should be to take your eyes off the things of this world to focus completely on God. During the Daniel Fast you will want to concentrate on prayer, Bible study, and reflection. The Daniel Fast is a great way to enter into preparation for growing in the Lord.

The Embassy Family Movie Night
A small but brave donkey named Bo yearns for a life beyond his daily grind at the village mill. One day he finds the courage to break free, and finally goes on the adventure of his dreams. On his journey, he teams up with Ruth, a loveable sheep who has lost her flock and Dave, a dove with lofty aspirations. Along with three wisecracking camels and some eccentric stable animals, Bo and his new friends follow the Star and become unlikely heroes in the greatest story ever told – the first Christmas.
It’s to get fit for Christ. The Embassy is a traveling house and the ambassadors for Christ must be healthy enough to travel, endure, and minister the Word of God with zeal and vigor.
Come to our first Steppers: Fun & Fitness Line dancing class where you will enjoy the step by step teaching of Sis Diane. For more information call or text Ambassador Deborah King at 856.236.8652 or Pastor-Elect Ryan Carter 302.622.5084.
We have great things in store for the youth ministry. We have a desire to keep them in the house of the Lord and to develop a zeal for the Lord of hosts. As we minister to them within the walls of the church, we also know that it is necessary to show them love outside of the church. We want to take them on trips and retreats, but need funds.
This fundraiser is one of many so that we can take your children on the necessary trips that will enlighten, empower, and encourage them to hold on to God’s unchanging hand. Meet us the bowling alley in Vineland on November 24th. If you need more information, please reach out to Ambassador Deborah (856.236.8652) or Pastor-Elect Ryan Carter (302.622.5084),
Join us as we support our Chief Apostle ministering in Atlantic City on November 9th.
The Embassy is supporting our spiritual father, Chief Apostle Eugene Smith as he travels from Detroit to Atlantic City. He will be ministering at our brother church which is pastored by Pastor Antonio Gandy. Service will begin promptly at 7 pm.
If you need transportation, please reach out to your nearest liaison at either the East or the West. If you are not an Embassy citizen, but need more information, please call 1.800.376.4616.

Day of Atonement
The Hebrew word kippus means covering or atonement. In the Old Testament sacrifice system, the sins of the high priest and the sins of the people were "covered" by the blood of bulls and goats.
This covering was effectual, yet temporary, in that it needed to be reapplied every year at this time. Even so, the Lord considered the people cleansed within the ordained framework of the sacrificial system, before Yeshua came to earth and offered Himself.
And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord. And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the Lord your God.
We must learn to deny ourselves, to become poor in spirit and to deny the urgent demands of our fleshy nature. This refers to denying pride and self-importance, and taking on a humble and servant-like attitude. It also includes some physical self-denial, although it is natural to desire food, comfort, shelter, sleep and physical safety. It goes against our instincts to deny ourselves through fasting and self-sacrifice. However, this is the cost of discipleship.
The Day of Atonement speaks of sanctification, a lifestyle in which our flesh comes into alignment with our spirit, rather than the other way around. It calls the Bride to a life of discipline and purpose. The sanctified life is a life dedicated to serving the Lord, not one filled with our own agendas, entertainment, and ambitions. The higher the calling, the higher the price one must pay.
